To setup a new email account and be able to send/receive email to/from your
own computer, you first have to create the new email account in your control
panel (see our Getting Started Guide
for more information on doing this). Once the account is created, you then
have to configure your email program on your computer to be able to send and
receive your email.
There are several email programs available... one of which is probably already
installed in your computer (Windows-based computers typically have either
Microsoft Outlook, or Outlook Express pre-installed). We've put together the
following flash tutorials that walk you through the steps you need to take
with the most popular email programs:
Once you create your email account, it should
start working immediately.... as long as your
domain name has propagated. If your domain name
still has not propagated, your email will start
working as soon as propagation completes.
